Neliam Rivas is a Venezuelan artist and graphic designer, born in a town with the Caribbean Sea as her canvas. Coming from a family of painters, she grew up in a world full of bright and vibrant colors, which can be seen in her paintings.

Since 2002, Neliam has been in search of forms and colors that allow her to create a better connection between her artwork and the viewer. Her journey has taken her through prestigious galleries in Venezuela, Canada, and the Caribbean, using still life as her subject and realism as her style. Throughout her nearly two-decade career as an artist, Neliam has sold over 300 works in Venezuela and many others around the world.

Her goal is to show us things that we haven’t truly seen, subtle details in our everyday experience that we often overlook. She does this with what she knows best: light. Strong light falls upon her paintings, and with each brushstroke, Neliam reveals textures, colors, and forms that evoke sensations and emotions in the viewer.
